Support staff

A range of support services are available to students, parents and staff at Crescent Lagoon. These services include; a school based chaplain (Tuesday and Thursday), a Head of Curriculum, Literacy & Numeracy Support Teacher, Teacher Librarian, and a Support Teacher for Students With a Disability.

Head of curriculum (0.5) – Ms Lynn

As head of curriculum Ms Lynn is responsible for:

  • leading the school improvement strategy
  • facilitating co-operative planning sessions with year/juncture level teachers
  • supervision/coordination of all curriculum delivery and assessment across the school for all teaching staff
  • managing and facilitating curriculum purchases to enhance literacy, numeracy and units of work
  • managing and coordinating all professional development

Teacher Librarian (0.5) – Ms Lynn

As Teacher Librarian Ms Lynn is responsible for:

  • supervision/coordination of staff working in the resource centre supporting day to day operations of this centre and the library collection
  • managing and facilitating library collection purchases
  • delivering literacy information support to students through specialised lessons
  • supporting teachers through a collaborative approach to resourcing curriculum units and classroom programs

 

Support Teacher: Literacy & Numeracy – Mrs Peters

As Support Teacher: Learning and Numeracy - Mrs Peters is responsible for:

  • coordinating and providing appropriate, effective, specialised support to address total development of each student
  • enhancing and extending programs for the range of students with special needs to assist them in achieving their full potential
  • being the principal’s delegate in monitoring and supporting teachers to plan and implement programs to support students with learning difficulties and special needs.

Support Teacher: Students with a Disability – Mrs Griffin

As Support Teacher: Students with a Disability - Mrs Griffin is responsible for:

  • coordinating and providing appropriate, effective, specialised support and integrated educational experiences for students assessed with a disability.
  • enhancing and extending programs for the range of students with disabilities to assist them in achieving their full potential.
  • being the principal’s delegate in monitoring and supporting teachers to plan and implement programs to support students with a disability.
